APC Rejects Sierra Leone Presidential Results, Demands Comprehensive Election Data

APC Rejects 2023 Elections Result, Demands Publication of Detailed Polling Station DataThe All Peoples Congress Party (APC) has vehemently rejected the announced results of the Sierra Leone 2023 presidential elections and is calling on the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) to release comprehensive election data, including results per polling station across the nation.

The party maintains a resolute stance, refusing to accept the results and leveling accusations against Chief Electoral Commissioner Mohamed Konneh. They accuse him of fabricating the results and pressuring District Officers to endorse them.

In a press statement, the APC expressed deep dissatisfaction with the final presidential results declared by Chief Electoral Commissioner Mohamed Konneh of the ECSL on June 26, 2023. According to the party, the announced results do not accurately reflect the true count of valid votes in each district. They argue that Mr. Konneh made the announcement despite the district tally centers' results not being tallied and certified by the ECSL's district returning officers and their party agents.

The APC party further alleges that the Chief Electoral Commissioner concocted the results and coerced District Officers to endorse them. Their statement emphasizes their firm rejection of the presidential election results, claiming that the results announced by Mr. Konneh do not represent the true picture of the results tallied at polling stations and districts. They assert that Mr. Konneh made the pronouncement even though the results in the district tally centers had not been tallied and certified by the ECSL's district returning officers and their party agents.

The APC party is also aware of the Chief Electoral Commissioner's intention to announce a Mayoral Candidate in Freetown based on a pattern of concocted results that do not accurately reflect the valid votes cast. The APC strongly warns the Chief Electoral Commissioner against making such a pronouncement, as it could potentially create chaos in the country.

The APC urges the Chief Electoral Commissioner to ensure that the votes cast for the presidential and mayoral candidates are counted, verified, and certified by polling stations with the full participation of their party's agents and observers, both local and international, before announcing the mayoral results.

Once again, the APC firmly insists that the presidential results are not credible and refuses to accept them without verification and certification by their party representatives and observers. They pledge to make every effort to safeguard the will of the people.
