Chief Minister David Sengeh Named on TIME 100 NEXT List of Leaders

Sierra Leone's Chief Minister, David Moinina Sengeh, has earned a spot on TIME100 NEXT's list of notable leaders. Similar to TIME100's annual compilation of the most influential global figures, TIME100 NEXT showcases an array of individuals alongside selected guest contributors who write about them.

This year's selection recognizes Chief Minister Sengeh for his remarkable efforts in advancing education, technology, and innovation within his nation. Sengeh received a congratulatory message from Melinda French Gates upon his inclusion in the list. In response, Sengeh expressed his deep gratitude for Gates' generous recognition and thoughtful acknowledgement, emphasizing his appreciation for being part of this year's TIME100 NEXT lineup of leaders.

Additionally, he extended his gratitude to Sierra Leone's President, Julius Maada Bio, for his unwavering support of young talent and for creating opportunities for them to demonstrate their expertise within the governance framework.

In his own words, Sengeh remarked, "What lies ahead? I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Melinda French Gates for her gracious and generous recognition. It's an honor to be included in this year's TIME100 NEXT list. Thank you, President Bio, for your belief in the potential of young people. I am proud to serve as a leader in Sierra Leone!"
